Near the Inner Harbour sits Victoria's oldest residential neighbourhood. James Bay is a joy to explore with grand old Victorian homes once owned by the city's first settlers.
Today, the neighbourhood is home to many of Victoria's best attractions. Here you'll find the Royal British Columbia Museum dispalying the province's history and culture. Emily Carr House, a stunning Victorian home that was the birthplace of one of Canada's first and best-known artists and writers. British Columbia's Legislative Buildings (be sure to see them at night). Dr. J.S. Helmken House, the second oldest residence on its original site in BC. Fisherman's Wharf, -rent a boat or grab a plate of Fish and Chips. The cruise ship terminal to Alaska is also in the James Bay.
